Earlier this month the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio sponsored its 6th Annual Autism Walk at Toledo’s Franklin Park Mall. The event was a great success, serving the Autism Society’s goal of promoting awareness, providing support, and advocating for the well-being of those affected by autism across the lifespan. In addition to the participants’ choice of a 5k or 1-mile all-abilities walk through the mall, the event also featured games, face painting, bungee jumps, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

Among the attendees were a handful of Gateway team members who are very grateful to have been a part of the fun and experience the wonderful sense of community shared by individuals with autism and their families in Northwest Ohio. Gateway is committed to providing support to individuals with autism wherever it is needed, and so we are very excited to announce our plans to begin providing ABA therapy in the Toledo area in the coming months. We will provide more details about this next chapter for Gateway as they develop. For now, all the Gateway team will be eagerly looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to expand our mission of quality care and make a positive impact on the autism communities of Northwest Ohio.
