It’s hard to believe the year is coming to an end and the holiday season is upon us. What an exciting time to gather the family and attend some of the awesome events going on in your area. From Zoo lights to Turkey Day Trots, we have you covered. Below is a list of events in your area:

Rink at Campus Martius

Starting the week of Thanksgiving, the Frankenmuth Rink at Campus Martius is open to all for a family-friendly experience. This is a charming way to spend time with family. Detroit Turkey Trot

Downtown Detroit is offering 3 different runs to get you ready for Thanksgiving dinner! Runners can choose between a 1-mile, 5K, or 10K trot. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged. Registration is at 8:30am. For more information take a look at the link provided: Detroit Turkey Trot

Ann Arbor Turkey Trot

Get your ugly sweaters and costumes ready because the Ann Arbor Turkey Trot is giving away prizes for the 3 ugliest sweaters and top 3 holiday themed costumes. The event is located at the corner of East Liberty and 4th Avenue. Participants with children are invited to jog a 1k run or go the distance and complete the entire 5k. Lansing Turkey Trot

Downtown Lansing is hosting its 19th annual Turkey Trot at 500 N. Grand Ave. at 9:00am. Those who complete the trot will be able to see the State Capitol Christmas Tree! For more information take a look at this link provided: Lansing Trot

Wonderland of Lights

Potter Park Zoo has been transformed into a winter wonderland! Every Thursday – Sunday from 5:00pm – 8:00pm park attendees will have an opportunity to explore the holiday lights around the zoo. Wild Lights

The Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak is hosting their annual Wild Lights event. For 29 nights there will be over 5 million lights illuminating the park! This is an awesome experience if you have never been. For more information take a look at this link provided: Detroit Zoo

America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

On November 28th families are invited to attend the 93rd Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit. Attendees will have the opportunity to see mega floats, marching bands, and so much more!
