Check out these Halloween-themed events that are taking place in your area in the next two weeks! It’s an excellent way to enjoy the fall season and a great opportunity for your family and child to get out of the house:

      Troy Community Center
      Looking to show off your or your child’s dance moves this Halloween? Troy Community Center is providing you with an opportunity Tuesday, October 26th form 6:30 – 9:00pm. Don’t forget to bring your costumes!

      Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA)
      RARA is hosting a “Spook-Tacular Dance”, October 26th from 6:30pm – 9:00pm, intended for persons who have special needs. This is another great opportunity to dance with your family, listening to music provided by DAZZLE DO TIME! Take a look at more information provided by RARA @ rararecreation.org
      Falconers “Boo at the Zoo
      This is an annual Halloween event that allows families to enjoy the zoo and avoid the large crowds. There will be games, animals, crafts, and much more! Costumes are welcome. Boo at the Zoo will take place multiple times in October (20-21, 27-28) from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Check out their website for additional info: www.potterparkzoo.org

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

Some days are better when you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie with family and friends. Here is another opportunity to get together with other special needs families who understand that not all movies require silence and where laughter, dancing, and moving around the aisles are welcomed!

      Bartsch Hall Senior Community Center
      Bartsch Hall is also hosting a movie pizza night for persons with special needs November 2nd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm intended for teens 14 and up. They will require you to preregister by calling (248)-625- 8223.
