At Gateway Pediatric Therapy, we understand how much the little things matter. It is our mission to provide the best in class treatment based on empirically validated ABA principles and to shape behavior by celebrating those small, every day successes. Gateway Pediatric Therapy provides in-home and clinic-based ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities and other language delays. We are a family-centered organization that works in partnership with parents to meet their child’s needs in a supportive and nurturing environment. Services are funded privately, through health insurance, or Medicaid.

Training includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Learning about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Learning how to reduce problem behavior
  • Practicing teaching in the natural environment
  • Working with apps, games and web-based technology
  • Providing one-on-one ABA therapy under the supervision of experienced Behavior Technicians
  • Working alongside Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to help implement clients’ programs

All applicants are subject to a background check, drug screening, and driving history check. Compensation commensurate with experience. Gateway is currently serving Metro Detroit (Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb County) and the Lansing area, with clinics located in:

  • Sterling Heights
  • Shelby Township
  • Bingham Farms
  • Dearborn
  • Lansing
  • Applicants should expect to also travel to home-based sessions*

Requirements for employment include:

  • Evening and Saturday availability from September to June
  • Daytime availability from June to August
  • Passion for working with children
  • Bachelors Degree not required, but preferred
  • References
  • Reliable means of personal transportation
  • NO PAST CRIMINAL HISTORY
  • Flexible Scheduling
  • Maintaining respect and confidentiality for all clients
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and in writing
  • Work cooperatively with other professionals and staff to facilitate positive interactions for the student and all involved in the student’s education
