Over this past weekend, we were fortunate to have partnered with Crowns Against Cancer to provide haircuts for our kiddos who have a difficult time in a typical salon/barber setting. Fortunately, our very own Carson Johnson and Haley Bruce got creative and turned a boring haircut into a fun wagon ride. Participants were invited to join Carson in a wagon pulled by Haley, during which time Carson was able to cut each child’s hair while having fun and sharing laughter.

In addition to the imaginative wagon rides, two special guests showed up for a surprise. Princess Ana and Princess Mulan came to Gateway to provide encouragement to our brave kiddos and to enjoy the fun. One mother stated, “I have never seen such effort and support. I was in tears of how wonderful they were with her.” Words like these are an inspiration to our staff and make each day special.
